EASTER II.
While Tundi was in Germany and Tabi with grandparents, we (Tamas+OM team) had a group of 7 English students preparing to go on Easter outreach with the Bus4Life.
The story of this outreach is very interesting but I don't want to 'burden' you with long explanations. Anyway the team came and we had a few days to prepare. They were really great, they threw themselves into any kind of works.
Then on Good Friday we went to Baja (southern town by the Danube) to do outdoor programs on the main square with the local Baptist Church. The weather was wonderful and the people on the streets were nice. We did craftings for children, played the puppets several times, had concerts, pantomime by the local youth group, played movies in the evenings on the side of the bus. It was a great time. Our guests really enjoyed it - especially the warm welcome from our host families.
We had some good conversations but mainly with believers. They were encouraged to go out on the streets and reach out to their neighbours.
I give thanks to God for this time!
For me it was refreshing to step out of the office, be in action, be among young people again and make friends - and serve God in all this.
