Being tested? Or being clay? - SURPRISE!
But not comfortable and enjoyable – not at all!
Today in our quiet time we read that there are hard times we need to go through in order to be tested. It is true if we think about the world, a boss wants people who can stand in the hard times and keep on working well and stabile no matter what happens to him or the company.
But we often forget that it is necessary in God’s workshop as well. He wants to use us therefore He needs to know and see and show us what we are like. Where we are week He can be strong. Where can we be His voice, feet, hands or eyes? We read about Joseph’s dark times in order to be lifted up and be God’s hand and voice for God’s glory.
It is beautiful story but I often fail to see our life in the light of the Bible and have dark times and cannot see its necessity so that God’s name would be lifted up high and people would see Him and meet Him and praise Him and be His children forever. To Heaven. Probably because I do not see that, it is hard to believe that it will happen. I am sorry to say I do not see people coming to Christ because of our life and hardships and as we are coming out of those times.
Just hope and trust He will use me (and us) somehow the similar way He used those BIG people in the Bible. By the same Spirit - He says. AMEN (as our princess started to say with us sometime after our prayer in the mornings or evenings). AMEN, AMEN, AMEN
Why am I writing these all? May be later can give bits and peaces of those hardships.
Right now juts to say I burnt into coal a tiny peace of meet in the micro and the whole flat smells terribly and instead of going out of the open window it goes into the rooms and penetrates everywhere. All windows open to get it out except one. But that terrible smell is still here.
