Celebrations
Tabita’s Name day, Wedding Anniversary and Mother’s Day is over now.
-Name day: we understand that not everywhere exists. In Hungary all names have one or more days throughout the year that is marked in the calendars and on one of those days you can celebrate. It is a good reason for children to receive gifts (or money) but in the socialist times it was a day when everyone knew you would celebrate (colleagues do not know each other’s birthdays). So most of the time the ones whose name days were close or the same day had decided in what to do together – bring different cookies or drinks. And they had received flower or sg. else.
Our little girl is too small to understand that she gets a gift and it is 'her day'. But people keep on asking about her name, whether it is in the calendar at all. We gladly drive their attention to the meaning of her name that is written in the Bible and ask if they have one or not. If they have Bible than no way I would tell the meaning - just look it up and find it for yourself in Acts 9. More help might come how to find it.
That has happened last week when we met the garden-neighbors who live in the parallel street. They just have a girl born in January, when Tabi was to ’come’ originally. We had a good time talking on the street, changed phone numbers and hope to build a friendship. Great!

- Wedding Anniversary: It was quiet. Since we are up with Tabi from 6am till 8pm and have no one to watch her we celebrated just spending the time as usual. Except that we had a pizza after she went to sleep. And we have the usual annual photos in row:

-For Mother’s day we finally got home to see grandmother and great grandmother, after a long time. We had a nice time and Tabi enjoyed the people and many new things around. She loves changes and is bored without them. She also let us leave her alone in the evening for sleep as she used to do before the hospital time. It is much easier this way and gives some extra minutes in the evening for me to spend. She is sweet.
She said her first whole sentence in front of the mirror: Baba, baba, baba love grandma!
Since that she often tells us : love – what is a great joy to hear from her.
How much more God rejoices when we say that to Him!
